I find it very easy, and enjoyable, to sit on the phone all day talking about renewable energy to someone who shares the same interests as me. The same is true when visitors arrive to look at my progress. For that reason I have made a strict rule. My time is divided between open-days and closed-days. On the open-days visitors are welcome to attend by appointment for courses and discussions and so forth, but on closed-days I jealously gaurd my time which must be spent working on the projects themselves. With regret, visitors on those days will be turned away. The same is true of phonecalls at all times.
